What sizes are available?
We offer 28 different sizes to accommodate your needs. Sizes range from 5x5, or 25 square feet, to 10x17, or 170 square feet.

How much do they cost?
Rates vary by the size of the unit you rent. We have a wide variety of unit sizes to meet your needs.

How do I calculate how much storage space to rent?

Do you offer services for both the household and business customer?
Riverton Self Storage is a state-of-the-art storage facility and has services for both the household and business customer. Please contact our manager should you have specific questions so that we may meet your individual needs.
Do you provide a lock for my unit? Does anyone else have a key?
You can purchase a new, sealed lock at Riverton Self Storage.The lock you purchase from us is specially designed for storage units. Then only you have the key!
Do you offer RV/boat/car/motorcycle parking?
We can accommodate motorcycles, motorbikes, etc. Click here for more information on proper storage of small engines. Unfortunately we do not offer outside storage for RV’s Boats, and Cars. We would be pleased to refer you to one of our competitors who offer this type of exterior storage.
What is the difference between an indoor and outdoor unit?
All of our units are indoors, in a humidity controlled – climate controlled environment. An indoor unit is within the building. Outdoor units are the older style units that are accessed from a parking lot. Typically outdoor units are subject to the seasonal swings in temperature and humidity. Virtually anything can be stored in an indoor unit (click here for restrictions). It is dangerous to store anything in an outdoor unit that may be sensitive to swings in temperature and humidity.
What is climate control?
Climate control is heating in the winter and cooling in the summer. Our entire facility is climate controlled!
We maintain a temperature of 57 to 78 degrees. This feature helps protect your stored belongings from the extreme temperatures.
What about Humidity?
We also offer air moisture control or humidity control with de-humidifiers. While some of our competitors may offer a few climate controlled
units (temperature control only) most do not have the ability to control humidity.
What kind of security do you have?
Riverton Self Storage takes great pride in protecting your belongings and strives to provide state-of-the-art security. We feature electronic coded
access to the facility, monitored video surveillance inside and outside, well-lit parking and loading docks, and personal locks available for purchase.
Do you have video cameras?
Yes. We have 24 hour camera surveillance inside and outside the facility. For security purposes we do not disclose how many or
where they are located. Our cameras are generally located at points that encompass the entire facility.
Can anybody access the facility or do you need a PIN number?
Access to our facility is by keypad PIN number only. The code allows us to monitor who is entering and exiting the facility.
How long do I have to sign up for?
We offer a month to month rental agreement, meaning no long term contract and no long term commitment.
It’s simple, move in when you want and move out when you want.
When can I get to my belongings?
You can access the contents of your unit during facility hours, which are anytime between the hours
of 5 am and 11 pm 7 days a week. Your keypad access offers you access to the facility even when
the manager is out.
Will my items be covered by insurance?
When you inquire about renting a unit, make sure you inquire about insurance too! We offer content insurance for the items you store with us through Safestor’s Self Storage Occupant Insurance Coverage, which is underwritten by Republic Western Insurance Company. We also offer an easy and convenient monthly payment plan if you choose Safestor Insurance. You may also want to contact your insurance agent and inquire about a rider on your homeowners or renters insurance policy. Either way make sure you are properly covered!
What's the difference between office hours and facility hours?
The office hours are when the manager is in. During these hours our Manager will be available to assist you with your storage needs or moving and packing supplies. The facility hours are the hours of access to the interior of the building where your unit is located. If you require access outside of our standard facility hours ask our Manager for information about 24-hour access.
How far in advance can I book a reservation?
We give you the flexibility to book a reservation up to 30 days in advance to help you plan ahead. Click here to make an Online Reservation.
How can I make a payment?
You may make your payment through your bank’s online bill pay feature, and you may also arrange to have your payment automatically charged
to your credit card. Please ask our manager about these features. And of course you can always stop by the office during office hours and pay by cash,
check, credit or debit card.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept MasterCard, VISA, Discover, Cash, Checks and you can utilize your online banking.
Please ask our Manager about our auto-pay credit card program. It’s fast, easy and convenient!
Can you recommend a mover?
Yes, we are happy to recommend a local reliable mover for you to contact.
Do you have moving carts available?
Yes. You may use our hand trucks and / or “push carts" free of charge. The moving carts are located in the dock area. Please put them back in the dock area when you are finished so other customers can easily find and use them.
Can I buy boxes and other packing products from Riverton Self Storage?

How much notice to must be given before I move out?
Full details on the vacating policy will be provided for you at the time of move-in. However we generally expect a minimum of 30 days prior to moving out.
What is a roll-up door?
Roll-up doors are the most common door in self-storage. They are accessed by sliding a latch and lifting the door upward, similar to the motion of a garage door. Roll-up doors allow you to maximize the usage of your space.
Our doors are designed and made by Janus, an industry leader. With spring tensioners controlling the weight of the door they are very easy to raise and lower.
